It is not a great temple that you must visit but if you have spare time, please go. I went there afternoon during summer, it was rather hot but there are shades around. Many local tourists there didn't see much foreign tourists. It looks like...More

This active temple was originally founded during the Tang Dynasty, but has been rebuilt quite a few times. The current structure dates to the 1980s after the previous temple’s was torn down during the Cultural Revolution. It was crowded when we went, having to dodge...More

Definitely worth a visit. Practicing Buddhist Monks still live here and if you are lucky you will see them in prayer. Do not photograph them however as it is not allowed as I found out and were told off by a very stern official.

Good to visit if you are already at Xiamen University. It can be very hot, though, especially in the afternoon with the packaged-tour groups.

This is one of the most beautiful temples to be lit up at night! Can be seen from many different angles! A visit to this historic temple is a must both during the daylight hours as well as at nighttime!

Its worth a visit if u are staunch devotee. The vegetarian dishes are extremely expensive and easily cost 80rmb for a platter of fritters. Can try climbing to the peak. Not a tough climb.

We visited here and it was very crowded. It seems to be filled not only with a lot of tourists but also worshipers. The architecture is so beautiful and delicate. It's a nice place to walk and experience things we don't have here in the...More
