If you are up for the walk, this could be a place to spend an entire day at. In the couple of hours that I was there I still managed to see quite a lot. I'm not too sure about the other attractions, though there seem to be plenty, but if you are limited with time then I suggest going... More

The place is not just about Botanical garden. In there you can see some historic and interesting places like Hongfa Temple and Fairy Lake area. The area is very huge and there are so many places to visit and it is hard to see them all in one day. The distance between the places is very long and it takes... More

Xianhu botanical park in Luohu district in the east of Shenzhen is famous for it's Buddhist temple. Besides a temple, there are also various other things to see and the park is quite large. So large in fact, that I recommend that you take the bus inside the park to the Buddhist temple on a mountain. It saves you lots... More

I thought Inwould have a nice stroll through a park. This was an incredible hike through a park instead. I was there during off season but the scenery was still beautiful. The signs and staff are all Chinese and do not speak English, therefore I did not know about the bus service to the top. The buildings are beautiful and... More

I visited the Fairy lake garden last year with my friend and his young family. Nice place with lots to do. They have regular shuttle buses from the main gate to the main attractions. It definitely helps if you can speak Chinese here. This can get extremely busy at national holidays. Hongfu temple is also located here.

Xianhu botanical garden is one of the better tourist destinations in the modern city of ShenZhen. It is very large, and hilly, so you should be a hiker to get the full benefit of what it has to offer. If you are not a walker and your only destination is the active Buddhist temple, the most prominent and interesting feature... More

This is a big park - too big for a walker who is disabled or has a hard time getting around. And if it is hot and humid, as it was in mid November, it will be even more difficult. It was pretty, but I have seen other parks in Shenzhen that are even prettier. For 3 yuan you can... More
