This national park built around a extinct volcano isn’t the most exciting activity to attend however it is well laid out. There are quite a lot of stairs to get to the volcano itself but nothing too difficult. They had live entertainment there with traditional...More

The Geopark is located a bit outside of Haikou. It is a very nicely done park and surpassed our expectations considerably. There are several smaller outdoor ‘exhibits’ including a cactus garden, wood sculpture garden, old lava patches and caves, old houses, gates and temples and...More

It's a UNESCO geopark after all and it's definitely worth a visit just to see the inactive volcano. It is a bit difficult to get to but the size is manageable for a half-day trip.

The place is really fascinating. First, you take a walk in the stone garden, then you go down to the very middle of the volcano. You need to be in a good shape though as many stairs look amazing, but challenging 😀

Had to visit the famed volcano crater in Haikou. Quite breathtaking but was not really an easy feat. Lots of stairs to conquer. Prepare to wear it out.

The Park is nice, and you can walk around the crater and inside it, the kids liked the trip but its nothing too wow.

Amazing views from atop the crater. The scenery while walking there is also worthwhile. Be prepared to walk though, the actual crater is pretty far from the entrance, but as a person who appreciates nature I enjoyed the hike. They have small displays explaining various...More
