We live in Banshan Bandao so this is our largest local beach. It is clean, good quality sand with quite a large number of restaurants overlooking the bay. The water appears pretty clean and the shore shelves slowly so its good for kids, there are also a few vendors offering things like jet ski's. Overall very good but a bit... More

This is adjacent to my hotel. So there were always free sun loungers available. Nor so wide forward but stretches for miles left and right. Fun family friendly beach but good solo also. Nice sand and goid waves. I liked it during the evening especially. Very much recommend this beach. Less crowded than yalong bay and sanya bay.

Dadonghai beach to me seems better than Yalong and more afordable. There is a lot of space on the beach and a lot of stuff to do and places to eat near the beach.

I loved this beach, it's really clean and has a nice view. Sanya bay in my opinion does not have a nice view. When I was there there were a lot of ships. Dadonghai does not have this.

It's not fancy, but it's a good family friendly beach. Easy to get to and not so expensive to stay nearby. Pay attention to the lifeguards and the tides, but know that the 'Swimming is Strictly Prohibited' does not mean it is not OK to swim here. In high surf there may be riptides, but most of the week we... More

The beach is very nice, however the lifeguards assume people can't swim so they make everyone swim in the designated area where the Chinese people just hang out on their floaties. I didn't like that at all... what's the point of enjoying the wide open ocean in a little area with a bunch of other people? I can understand if... More

The beach is better than Sanya beach. They're a lot of nice restaurants with a sea view. At the evening you can enjoy a cocktail with live music. If you like sea attractions you'll like this place.

packed with tourist that join group tours. Local tourist that pollute the beach and leave dirty toilets. Not for international travellers. The local Tourist Board should do something to police people that litter the beach and clean public toilets.

A regular beach with a nice view. Nothing much to do, except walking along the coastline. Not feeling safe to swim although there is a designated area for people to swim. As there is a signboard warning people that there is a high risk of drowning at this seaside...probably can try out other beaches

First thing, this is one of the few nice warm weather beaches for the earth's most populous nation. It's short so there's not that much room. Sand is natural and quite fine so water clarity isn't going to be the best. We walked it a few times and while there is litter, it is a lot cleaner than other beaches... More
