Amazing place, Beach is surrounded with seafood restaurant, better to find the hotel directly there, lots of Russian at Beidahe, them you can go to the old city, patrimoine of UNESCO. Nice to visit, if there is no much pollution. There is parking very close and another one more on the east part, for 15¥ for the whole day. Restaurant... More

Qinghuangdao is not a good place to visit but there are lots of interesting places nearby such as the beginning point of the Great Wall, the beaches and the wet lands

It's a reasonable, seaside destination. The town and surrounding streets are quite pleasant. The beaches and facilities are nice enough, but in the summer it does, of course, suffer a bit from overcrowding. Certainly there is nothing wrong with it though and if you like playing or relaxing on crowded beacges, then this is better than most spots in China.... More

Popular with Chinese looking to escape the heat and bad air in Beijing, as well as with Russian tourists, Beidaihe offers pleasant, large beaches cooled by sea breezes. Crowded in Summer.

Nice place, good beaches, relatively cooler than nearby big cities so nice retreat to escape the summer heat. It has a peculiar mini Russia feeling with a lot of Russian tourists, Street signs, restaurant and hotel and names of businesses in Russian. The place is overpriced and taxi drivers often don't run on meter. So negotiate price before! Food overall... More

We came here knowing that a. we will not be able to swim in the water b. it's a Summer resort and might be emptyish and c. not to expect too much of a Socialist/Soviet/Communist summer retreat of the Middle Class. Those things in mind, we were impressed. The beaches were not that crowded (early April) and the walks we... More

Beidaihe can be extremely crowded in the summer, with hotel rooms priced very high. During the winter, many facilities were closed, including hotels and restaurants. This was especially so because we were there in the midst of the lunar new year. But we got nice weather and had excellent photo opportunities for both sunset and sunrise. We got a good... More

This beachside resort is very popular in summer. It was not too busy the day we went (glorious sunny day in late September). The water was cool and not the cleanest. There is a nice area of rocks, which is very popular for taking photos. It cost 8 yuan each to get onto the beach.

As usual this place was very crowdy like other chinese places and specially beach was just average. Beidaihe near the beach looks beautiful and even in night too many peoples on street not like other chinese cities. Every stuff is expensive here.
