This particular bridge span across the Songhua River is a vital route between the developing North and the already congested South. The bridge is not an architectural marvel or imposing like other newly erected bridge in China. However, it is part of this historical city.

The newer bridge has an old Eastern European influence and it is pretty nice at night. You will pass it en route to the Ice Festival. However, that being said, it's still just a bridge.

You cross this bridge to get to the Ice Festival and other attractions. The on ramps are big circles that allow you to look back on the City which comes alive at night.

It may simply be a bridge over the Xinhua River, but the two domes perched atop the columns are worth seeing and photographing.

What can I say, this is a bridge to Sun Island, which has winter sports, and the ice & snow sculptures. Dress warm!

Nothing special about the way it looks, or how it's been built. Views aren't that great due to the perpetual mist in harbin during winter.
