Beautiful campus. It is so big. Right by a huge lake, which is surrounded by gorgeous colorful lights at night. In any other city, the lights alone would be an attraction! We heard that in the spring, the streets are lined with cherry blossoms, and it is a huge local attraction. In the summer, people will swim in the lake.

I am a native of Wuhan, and I often take some foreign guests to visit Wuhan. For me, Wuhan University is: Wuhan University was founded in 1893. Over a hundred years of historical precipitation has created Wuhan University's transcendental position. Wuhan University is surrounded by East Lake and Luojia mountain. The palace buildings with Chinese and Western characteristics are reef-impressive, elegant and magnificent. Every spring in mid March, when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, Wuhan University campus will attract millions of tourists from all over the country.

For me, an MIT 1971 graduate, it was a nostalgic experience seeing the Library and amazing women’s hostel, both designed 90 years ago by Professor Kale, of MIT! The way professor Kale wove the fabric of dramatic stairs from the avenue below, up to the library on top, is delightful and intriguing! The main Administration building is also a beautiful piece of modern architecture with a strong Chinese sense of traditional culture! The lakes and trees make a visit something very beautiful and special!

The architecture is absolutely worth the trip to this part of the city. If you take the taxi here, they will not drive you into campus. You will have to walk for 30 minutes or more to see the older buildings. It's very, very hot in the summer. There's no good shade in this area and few restaurants/cafes to rest in.

A beautiful, well maintained historic campus with magnificent flower beds and trees coupled with some unique architecture.

I visited this beautiful campus during the cherry blossoms. It was quite crowded, but well worth the visit. Plan on doing a lot of walking as the campus is quite large. The campus buildings are historical and worth seeing.

The University was alright- not as beautiful as it claims to be!
My friends and I visited during the cherry blossom season and it was alright in comparison to its entrance fee. It's worth a trip if you've never seen cherry blossoms in your life. (Note that it will be very crowded!)

This university is one of 4 famous university in China. There place is big and huge. A lot of walking is needed if you want to see most of it. They plant a lot of cherry blossom tree, and the local say it is very beautiful when it come to the season. You can roam around the place like me and try to like how the life of the Chinese University life over here. You can even plan to have the lunch here, and have a taste of campus food.

Beautiful gardens & streets when the cherry blossom are in full bloom. Go 1 week before peak to avoid massive crowd.

We had a brief visit and look at the student activities on venture into startup business. Big campus but unfortunately it was raining and windy. So not much outdoor exploration.
