If you're nearby then the Three Gorges Dam then you should definitely go. However as an experience it is pretty unpleasant. Although we went independently with friends, we were herded about and the noise from the crowds and tour guides was extraordinary. Still, it was...More

We took a bus tour from Yichang and really enjoyed it. We were the only foreigners on the bus but we were well looked after by both the guide and other tourists. The 3 Gorges Dam project is fascinating to see - well worth the...More

I was in awe just to see the largest dam and lock system in the world. Our cruise ship went through the 5-lock system the night before, so to see it in the day time was an added bonus. We got to see both from...More

My father has wanted to visit the dam and ship lift for ages, so whilst visiting me in Shanghai it was the one thing he asked me to organise. I thought it would be hard to do, but actually it's easily possible to do this...More

What can I say that hasn't been said already. This is a feat to be seen to be believed. The construction of this is mind blowing. I still can't believe the size of this project and the fact it works and works well. When mankind...More
