We decided to enjoy the canals by boat as well, and we liked every minute of it. We paid 40 yuen pp for a private boat tour for 40 minutes (no round-trip). The gondolier began to sing (but asked some extra money for it later).

We took a comfortable 45 minute boat tour along the canal as part of our Nexus Tour. It was an interesting sight to see these old building right on the river. Worth a visit.
