The scale and complexity of this garden is intricate and defies description. The rock work is vast, from cascading cliffs to mountain pillars and winding caves all artfully arranged around a large pond dotted with pavilions and bridges. One visit is hardly enough to grasp...More

My wife and I visited during Tomb Sweeping Day and it was packed. The garden was nice but was hard to get around with the amount of people crammed in. It was still enjoyable and I'm glad I went. It would have been nicer if...More

After visiting the Humble Administrator’s Garden close by, the Lion Forest Garden pales in comparison. Similar in style, this Garden is smaller in size, & not as colorful.

This is another beautiful garden located in Suzhou. There's amazing rock formation within the garden and there's one that looked like many lion faces within a formation. Interesting!

This is a major tourist attraction in Suzhou so be ready. There are many views inside and the gardens are well-presented and well-maintained. A variety of different gardens are available so plan enough time to see all of them.

I visited this garden with a Chinese friend. It was really interesting, even in winter. In the Spring I think it will be wonderful. The rock mazes are pretty unique. Highly recommended in Suzhou.

After visiting the Humble Administrator's garden, I thought this would be an anti-climax. In fact it's only about 350 metres away although the signage is poor. As a surprise to me it was quite different, smaller of course but featuring rock formations and rock mazes....More

I went on a weekday, so the crowd wasn't too bad. There were many rocks that are on exhibition, and good that there are both Chinese and English explanations as well. The entrance fee was I think 30RMB.
