It was quite something as you approach the area you see this massive Buddha (80m tall) soaring over all. Evidently the Lingshan Buddha is one of the tallest standing Buddha in the world. And they have created quite a lovely tourist area around it from...More

Covering many acres, this park focuses on Budda and to a certain extent Buddhism. There are many indoor and outdoor sites presenting some aspect or feeling attached to Budda. The large statue at the north end of the park can be climbed to its base...More

Combination fake holy site with overpriced souvenirs and junk. Big Buddha. Ten minute birth of Buddha water show. Places to eat were nearly impossible to navigate for people with limited Chinese language ability. Kind of a freak show.

The show is pretty amazing. I don't want to spoil it for others by describing it in detail but it is definitely interesting, combining video, lights and acting to tell the story of Sidhartha. The narration is in Chinese but at the top of the...More

We did a one day tour to Wuxi from Shanghai by train (make sure you'll take the train to Wuxi station, not to the East station) and wanted to see the Buddha statue. The trip took us more time than expected, but was easy. Just...More

I went there yesterday. Everything is open, no signs of a fire anymore. The entrance fee is ~100RMB. I came from Suzhou and it is definitely worth it!
