    Nice place to stroll

    Bayi Square is a nice place to stroll. It's also educational in terms of some Chinese history. Stop by, take pictures, cross the road to Wanda Plaza. When I was there, they were building parts of the metro system.

    Under Construction

    Parts of the square are still ok, but they are working on installing permanent bridges to cross the street and metal walls block the edges. The memorial monument is still accessible at the south end.

    At the time of my writing (April 2017) this square is not accessible to people as there are works in progress. Make sure it is open to the public before going there. Therefore it is difficult for me to rate it. However I heard this...More

    My little one and wife spend the evening here and we didn't want leave specialy my kid he was running around. If you are in town don't miss it..

    Decent for a quick look around

    If you go here, make sure you check out the shopping centres around the square, as there isn't too much to see in the square itself, but the shopping is great in the centres encircling the square. Make you you have someone who can speak...More

    Go at night

    Get there for 8pm for the dancing fountains in front of the memorial. Truly lovely. The square is amazingly peaceful considering the traffic on all sides. Watch for the kites.

    Huge square in the center of the city

    This is also the same as the August 1st Nanchang Uprising Monument. It is the second largest square in China, after Tiananmen.
