Amazing Pavilion

This pavilion was amazing. It was very beautiful from the inside and out. The view from the top was spectacular, and we really felt like we were in a piece of history.

I had a flying visit here, so didn't explore the grounds. Just the building was worth the ticket price of 50RMB though. There are many exhibits within the pavilion, and examples of local history. Views from the upper storeys are great, if the air is clear. There is not a lot of English, so if you don't speak or read... More

The pavilion is beautiful and offers great river views. Although the current building was built in the 1980s the site is historical and the exhibits in the building paint a picture of the building's history and significance. Lots of art and antique dealers in surrounding neighborhoods.

Landmark of the city, classic style but new building, but if you first time to this place, its worth to go. Stand in the balcony of the building and watch riverview is remarkable

Amazingly peaceful complex in the middle of the city. Beautiful gardens and lovely architecture. Looking forward to going back next year to see the whole thing completed.

The large Tengwang Pavilion dominates the Gan riverbanks and is beautifully lit at night. The current building is a sympathetic and authentic reconstruction, with some remodeling still underway. Don't miss the beautiful ceramic murals on one of the higher floors, where you can also get great views of life on the river.

Inadvertently, I had seen three out of the four "great towers of China" already, so I took the trek to Nanchang to see the last one. And for me, this was the best. There's a decent fee of course, but the grounds are quite large and the pavilion looms. It might be redundant for the veteran China traveler, but there's... More

We spent half the day here just hanging out in the peaceful grounds. We also had a great time getting dressed up by Chinese people who then proceeded to take a million photos of us
