This is one of the main roundabout / squares in Dalian surrounded by the major banks. The square is beautifully laid out and is aesthetically pleasing. Nice place to walk around and enjoy. Great cityscape photography opportunities both day and night.

For me, there was a great feel to this square which has basically become a large island in a traffic roundabout but still retaining a certain tranquility/. Firstly the architecture of the buildings surrounding the square is fascinating. Apparently they are mainly Japanese in a...More

This is the home of the World Economic Forum and some unique (at least in China) European architecture with a huge public plaza and an expansive view of the sea. It was a remarkable uncrowded place to walk around.

One must come here if architecture would be of their interest. The old bank buildings surrounding the big modern roundabout "square" made this place very special. In the evening or on a cool morning, this place is perfect for exercising.

Beautiful day or night! Great place to stroll and people watch. At night the buildings and trees light up like a fantasy land. Also there are groups dancing to all kinds of music almost every night.

When in Dalian an early morning visit to Zhongshan Square is a must. Actually the "square" is inside a traffic rotary. Each morning, you will see dozens of folks will be walking, jogging, doing tai chi, playing badminton or just relaxing with their tea. Curiously,...More
