It was built for The world Garden Expo 2006?? (I think) with many countries building native gardens. Since then it has become a sort of theme park, entertainment center for the local people. The locals call it QiPanSheng In Spring, Summer and Autumn with flowers and water sports - in Winter they have their own mini Winter Festival with ice... More

Spent almost a full day hear, it will be nice when its finished. The park is undergoing a major refurbishment at the moment but most of the grounds are worth walking round. Not worth taking children as the fun park etc. is mostly closed.

I REALLY would have wanted to play those fun games, if only the water were cleaner! kudos to those brave Chinese ;) the area is quite big, good for hot days, since all the green and water cools down a bit.

This is a very large park and could occupy the entire day if you explore the area. There is a tram you can ride to get from one part of the park to the other. There is a south and a north tram. The Gardens are a fair distance outside of the city. We were visiting family so transportation was... More

Plan to spend a whole day here and fully enjoy every minute of the day. There are numerous beautiful gardens, a high outlook viewing tower, numerous small playgrounds and full body swings, theme park rides for all ages and thrill levels, and our favorite part: the wipeout zone where people can test their athletic skills and attempt crossing a small... After long walks in polluted city,, this park is a real haven to the residents and visitors of Shenyang. I have been very impressed of the amount of activities that's going on in the park. truly delight to see.

This is not your usual botanical gardens that we have in Europe, due to the extreme seasons they are very different, but very beautiful too. The boating lake is a joy to behold with it's colourful plants and flowers. Really nice place to relax and have a picnic.

I had a very good experience! It is huge! I spent 5 hours (walking) and did not see everything. If you love walking, photography, and exploring then you'll love this place. This is the kind of place that rewards you for exploring the smaller paths. When I visited (6.21.2014) everything including the plant life was well maintained. It's 25¥ with... More

We went here on Sunday, August 25th, 2013 and we were highly disappointed. The whole area is very large and I will admit that we didn't get to all of it (so it is possible that we missed the "best parts") But I'm guessing from what we did see, is that the rest of the garden areas were probably about... I believe I already wrote a review for this place. There are two listing for this place online. Here are my thoughts after visiting twice. This is a decent place for a date if you love to walk and talk. You can burn an entire day here. This is a decent place to take the kids if money isn't tight... More
