About One hour drive from Jinan and One hour twenty minutes from Taian (Taishan) city. Excellent natural scenic. To enjoy the weather and observe the beautiful valley cover with red color leaf, it better to visit during end of October to till end week of November. Lots of buses plays between Jinan and Red Leaves Valley during pick seasons. No need to be worried if you know Chinese otherwise get a good guide to reach the valley. Entry ticket is available just beside the steps / front side of Car parking area. You need to pay 60 RMB per head. I went visited on 26th October 2013 along with my Chinese friends. my name is Indrajit Chakraborty from Kolkata city, West Bengal , India.

It took us about 2 hours with public bus 65 from central Jinan to the Red leaves valley. My friend and I enjoy taking photos so we were excited to go snap a few photos of the beautiful autumn colors. It’s a steep 1.7miles from where the bus drops you off to where the entrance is. It was ¥100 entrance and ¥50 for students. These are the prices for high season (oct&nov) Please take cash to pay entrance. There are some activities inside. We took a Taxi/mini van back to Jinan for ¥150.

In October the leaves turn red and beautiful. It's a nice park and a nice place to spend a day. We stayed overnight but there's really very little to do after the park closes so I would recommend just getting there early and leaving the same day.

I went in the fall to see the red leaves, and it was just so crowded on the weekend. Try going during the week.

You can get their by bus, but those were terribly crowded. Again, try going during the week.

There were tree houses, Chinese bridges, small temples and of course vibrant leaves to see. It's like a lot of spots in China.

The Red Leaves Valley is about an hours drive from Jinan. Public transport is neatly impossible, so you must have your own car.
Although the valley has some nice temples and views, only for a short time in the Fall are the leaves red.
There is a restaurant with local provincial food, however menus are only in Chinese so you will have to get someone to translate.
