We went there End of March. So for swimming it was bit to cold. But we already got an impression about this huge beach. For sure in summertime it is very nice there. Also enough little shops for food, souvenirs and other stuff are available

This is another 'Qingdao must do' for my money. It is easy to get to, relaxing, pretty and gives a real sense of being in Qingdao, not just any coastal city. Not the greatest beaches in the world, but very pleasant and real.

There is a nice boardwalk layed out here along the waterline. Its a mixture of concrete paths and wooden planks. Pretty much runs next to the shoreline so you can just take your time and stop at various points for tide pool watching.
