It was a cold winters day when I visited, but still there were a few people on the small beach. Not worth a visit, unless you want to see the famous "stone man of the sea"

Beautiful beach in a very pretty area. Located near Lion Mall. Crowded during beach season, this includes the water. Don't plan on putting a towel down, it will be trampled and difficult to find amongst the hordes of people there. The water is pretty nasty...More

It's a gigantic beach with lots of room and lots of things to do in the area. Not many cheap eats and drinks in the area though. It was nice in the spring, but I heard it gets really busy in the summer though.

If you don't see it you didn't miss very much. Most of the places are closed but at least the few that remain are okay. Can go but it's not a must.

Don't even think about putting your little toe in to these waters unless your in a submarine, a walk on the near by footpath is the closes you will get me to the water and you will know why once you get there
