The cable cars in Colombia are used for the tourists to have spectacular views but also for the locals to get home as many house are build on the slope of the mountain. Way to go!

We went with my nephew (7 years old) on a Monday late morning. Very few people were using the Metrocable, and we were greated by employees of the City of Cali promoting tourism and accompanying us during the tour. The Cable is not originally for tourism but a means of public transport for a humble community. And it is safe, clean and very positive to see some development in the City of Cali. Totally recommended.

Riding the cable car above the city gives you a different perspective of the city and geography and topography of the area that was previously undeveloped and rural land, now completely occupied and developed into an urban landscape. A good opportunity for photographers to take pictures of the landscape features.

great views, humble views, a lot of walking in the terminals to get on the cable so wear comfy sneakers. you can get off and take video or photos, don't walk off alone into siloe.

Fun adventure. a good trip to take an aerial view like you might see in a movie....the neighborhood below is a rough one, perhaps the roughest in all Colombia. This makes it intersting, so go in a group to fill teh car which holds 4-6, maybe 8 and dont get off if y dont want. You can go up through about 4 stops and return to Cosmocentro Central Commercial.

You don't have to get off the cable car. Simply do the round trip past all three stations and on the way back, you can get on the Mio metro-bus system to go back to where you came from without need to pay a second fare.

Easy and cheap way to see some of the lower income Cali neighborhoods and not be subject to potential opportunities for violence. Aerial view was breathtaking. This is a must do on your Cali list, just be sure to get off mío and walk to cables cars and not exit transit station or you will have to pay twice.

Designed as a transport improvement for those living in the mountains to the west of the city commuting into the centre, the Mio Cable offers an inexpensive and fun way of viewing vast tracts of the city

This fairly inexpensive and very comfortable and even safe mode of transportation can take you on a rather interesting aerial tour of a southern area of of the city. It is a must for those who want to see this part of the city, but are concerned about safety issues.
