A wonderful small yet big surprise, a gem, architecture wise and as regards the collection of pre columbian pottery sculptures of the finest. Well presented, beautiful representation within the regional geography. Absolute must see, as is the adjacent mrced church!

I enjoyed a temporary installation with ocarinas, zoomorphic whistles made out of clay. The installation was superb!, the included sound and a sophisticated play of lights and curtains.

We really liked the little museum. What's unique about it is that in places they have removed the modern layers of the building so that you can see sections of the original foundation, floors, and walls. You can see what the original construction was made of. The little plaza behind the museum is very picturesque. The plaza and church are... More

A small but attractive church. The museum is adjacent but seems to open at 10am so I was unable to visit. No problems going inside the church though.

Lovely patio. Each room layed out in chronilogical order. The rooms flow easily through the decades. Great museum.

Not only is the oldest church, but it is located in the oldest part of the Cali. We often stayed at the Hotel La Merced, just to the north of the church. The last time we were there the hotel was closed. But do stay there if you get the chance. This church is within walking distance of the Hotel... More

The church is the most interesting part of the place. I wanted to go inside just to see the beautiful courtyard with beautiful fontain. There is not much spectacular inside the museum.

This national monument has many artefacts on display. If you are a history buff, you will find it interesting. Note: They are closed for lunch, so check the timings before you visit.
