You can see these Gato's while on the public buses or in your car just traveling around the city. Most of the ceramic cats are the size of a wolf hound, which is one of the largest dogs.

A nice place and themepark to take a walk along the river and then go across the street to have an ice cream in Ventolini

Worth a half an hour walk along the river. The different artists have contributed interpretations of work inspired by Colombian artist Hernando Tejada. It's free! The park is well maintained.

El Peñón is my personal favorite neighborhood. It is trendy, it is safe to walk around in and it houses El Gato de Tejada. I recommend visiting this area. The sculptures are a nice to see and the Cali River is lovely as well. Should you visit in the evening, you can explore El Obelisco Empanadas. They are delicious!!!!!!! Make... More

I'm not a big fan of cats so wasn't too excited when told I was going to go visit Parque de Gato. Once I arrived there was a cute cat statue in the front as if he was welcoming you. Once you pass him their are about 15 female cats that are all vividly designed to attract the eye and... More

El Gato starts a promenade through intervened sculptures of female cats aside the river. It is a very particular spot in Cali but I would say it is worthy to complement with a walk around both sides of the river. Many people go there to jog and if your plan is not about working out you can enjoy a tasty... More

Very scenic short, easy walk along the river with cat sculptures decorated in imaginative ways - each with a sign telling you about the design. Many large trees providing shade.

It is a nice walk and fun to look at the cats. It is iconic, but will not take up much time. I suggest grabbing empanadas and champus across the street afterwards!
