This is is the look late night salsa bar you have been looking for, it's a shame it is not open all week. The music has a cool funky edge, the clientele love to dance, even I found my dancing shoes.

Great location, great music and the crowd is fantastic. I've been to this place a couple time with friends and we always have a blast. This is one of the best places to enjoy Cali's salsa culture in a nice and safe environment.

If you are in Cali, Colombia, Zaperoco bar is the best of the best for salsa lovers, great music selection from classic to modern salsa music, great bar selection, drink list priced just right, and you will be surprised if all the sudden a well known artist stopped by for a few drinks and not be harassed for everybody, great atmosphere and very friendly staff, what a fantastic experience, even Pedro Conga an artist from Puerto Rico was enjoying a few beers !

This salsa bar is where the well healed locals seem to go to dance.

Great salsa music, very good service, many excellent local dancers.

The dancefloor is not so big, but the atmosphere is so nice you forget about it.

For serious salsa dancing in Cali on a bigger dancefloor, but with many more non-locals, check out La Topa Tolondra.

Dont let the quiet street fool you. Once you open the door, youll be hit with a wave of sound. If you go late on a Friday or Saturday, there will be a ton of Caleños dancing up a storm to salsa.

Disclaimer: I went on a Thursday night. Still, the place was a little empty and the playlist was a bit mundane. Not a bad visit but I'd much rather go to La Topa Tolondra or Tin Tin Deo.

You haven't visited an authentic Colombian salsa club unless you visit this place. The DJ is amazing, this place is so welcoming, we kept going back. Visited several other salsa clubs, and most were disappointing, should have just stuck with this place. Local musicians frequent this club because the music and ambiance is amazing. Thursday nights they bring live bands and charge a minimal fee, but the other nights the entrance is free.

We wanted to watch salsa dancing and arrived at 8.30! Well, there wasn't a problem getting a seat as nobody else came until 9.15 and the dancing started at about 10pm!
Interesting to watch the dancing and to work out how the bar staff keep tabs on how much you have to drink and give you the right bill at the end of the evening!
The area seemed safe as we walked back about a mile to our hotel afterwards on a Saturday night.

I had been in Cali for a net total of 12 hours upon entering Zaperoco. It was the best decision I've made thus far.

Anyone that knows the US knows that we have a pretty miserable dance / meeting up with strangers culture. So after about an hour of watching feet flying all over the place, the dancing encouraged by track after track from the 1992esque DJ booth, it was very clear that Kansas was long gone. They play some of the best music in the city, and the patrons (who we Americans would call "dance professionals") are all ready for a great time. Really a must go if you're into the authentic Latin experience.
