Cartagena is a city in Colombia that reminds me of Europe. The night life, the architecture and the friendly people/

There is some wonderful history, some lovely buildings, great shops, and more street vendors then you would think could fit in one place. The vendors are mostly polite, the huge police presence probably influences that. It is interesting and busy and well worth a visit.

Charming historical old city, great coffee shops, salsa bars, a vibrant square with filled with tourists and locals alike. What's not to love? But if you're looking for beautiful sandy beaches, have to travel elsewhere.

Think of a clean New Orleans on the ocean and very safe. Would would ever not want to like here after one trip?

Make sure to keep an eye on your belongings. Tipping is not necessary. But be ready to pay between U$10 - U$20 per meal.

Very historic place. Great place to take a walk and enjoy the views of both the sea and the historic buildings in the city.

Highly recommended... a lot of old world charm with a fascinating blend of latino/carribean and european history... still relatively untouched compared to the test of South America in terms of tourism..

Hi. unfortunately I didn't see any in Cartagena but I did go to the synagogue in Bogota. If you call ahead a member will give you a tour and personal insights. it was probably a highlight of my trip.
