The old city of Cartagena succeeded our expectations : cosy, squares, colourful streets, beautiful churches, nice houses, etc. We recommend to make a walk of 1-2 hours. Excellent place to make fantastic photos.

Very nice for couples. Lots of visitors from Europe and USA are discovering this gem in South America! Lot of history. Young and old. There is plenty to do.

You cannot enter the walled city without being rushed by the locals trying to sell you something. If you stop to take a picture, the ladies in colorful dresses with the fruit baskets with jump in your pic and say “photo photo” then expect for...More

The Walled City is the main attraction in Cartagena and certainly a must-see if you're there. I liked walking around and seeing the different buildings, churches etc that had been lovingly cared for and decorated. Be aware that it's really hot inside the city. Perhaps...More

Lots of shops. For souveniers. Bars and restaurants. Colorful vendora selling fruits and vegs, plastic cups filled with mango for a small price.

Stayed here a few nights. The buildings are really nice, and there are some good restaurants, but the old town is crowded with hawkers trying to sell you stuff and has a ton of really high end shops.
