A large bricked out square with lots a people, performers and on-lookers. The square was the place to be, all the music dance , people parties, bars are worth the trip.

This guy was a criminal, not only in America but also in Spain. Read his story and maybe you will understand my disgust at seeing a statue of him.

This is an ok monument to visit. It encloses history, but there is nothing else than the monument. So, it was kind of like another "solo" monument to see.

The statue itself is ok, the story behind it is better. The reason why I gave 4 stars is because it's the best "city center" of the town where you can enjoy the architecture

By day, this is the meeting point or starting point for tours of the walled city. By night, this is the spot the pretty ladies of Cartagena "meet their dates"

The monument sits right in the center of the Plaza de Conches, commemorating the Spanish explorer and founder of the city of Cartagena - a very historic figure in Colombian history. Great to learn about him.

This is a bronze statue of Pedro de Heredia, the founder of Cartagena. It is close to the clock tower (Torre de Reloj) and is easy to find. Nothing remarkable, though.
