I guess I had high expectations for this park, but it is located downtown, and I didn't feel very safe there. A lot of sellers, and a few sculptures. We stayed there for 3 minutes and then took the metro back to the hostel. If...More

It's worth checking this place out, but be aware that it's very touristy with tons of vendors and people asking for money. It seemed safe enough while we were there, but it is a place I would not be comfortable being at after dark.

I went with a large group from the U.S. as well as coworker's from Medellin. The plaza was quite overwhelming with people trying to sell small toys and souvenirs that it was hard to enjoy fully. The sculptures themselves are beautiful, but there are too...More

It's a very beautiful park with all sorts of interesting sculptures by Botero. However, the street vendors can get very annoying here. One of my friends was followed around by a man selling obviously fake sunglasses and the guy just couldn't get the message that...More

You're probably going to want to see this part of Central Medellín anyway, so definitely come and see these sculptures. I liked them, my girlfriend thought they were ugly but admitted the animal figures were "kinda alright" haha. I think what I enjoyed most was...More

Beautiful outdoor art museum of the voluminous sculptures of Fernando Botero. The plaza is located outside the Museum of Antioquia and the Rafael Uribe Palace of Culture in the Carabobo neighborhood of Medellin.

Plaza Botero is a great display of the art of Fernando Botero, as a sculptor. It is right opposite the Museo of Antioquia, it is very popular and it is of course free to visit, to enjoy and to take photographs.

I admired the work the city of Medellin is doing to show people the sculptures and art of the famous Fernando Botero. This plaza and the museum itself are worth visiting. I felt very safe seeing police making sure all tourists were enjoying their time....More

Few people speak English in Medellin, or Colombia for that matter. One of the telecomms, UNE, sells USB wireless keys to access the Internet. When I checked last year, the key cost COP 50,000 and access was COP60,000/month.
