Lots of very cool statues to check out. The plaza is in a busy area with lots of shopping, food, etc nearby. Definitely a must see if you are in Medellin.

This museum showcases the art of columbian artist Botero in all of his stages and lets you understand the meaning and significance of his work. After seeing the museum you can experience the beautiful Plaza Botero

Some people will tell you to avoid El Centro because it's too dangerous. However, if you are aware of your surroundings and you don't flash around your iPhone or jewelry, you'll be fine. There's a lot of hustle and bustle but not visiting El Centro would be the same as not visiting the heart of any big city in a... More

Even if you're not much of a Botero fan, a trip to Plaza Botero is worth it. There's a lot to do in the area and the statues are a lot of fun.

Botero is one of my favorite artists. To see so many of his works in one place is really awesome. Take the time to study each one.

A fun scene with lots of people, street vendors and the wonderful Botero statues. There are about 23 statue of huge dimensions. It is close to the museum.

Of all the parks and sites we visited on a tour, this was the one we enjoyed the most. I highly recommend you take the time to see them.

This place was fascinating if not a little scary. There were some unsavory looking people there and our cab driver, after receiving a tip, told us to watch our stuff in our pockets. There were heavily armed police all over which tells you something. Fernando Botero's work is wild especially in this location. We left well before dark because even... More

We had a huge expectation about this place but we got very sad and disappointed when we saw a dirty place, trash everywhere, unsafe, we saw prostitutes there too (and it was at 1pm). The sculptures are really beautiful, we loved them but the atmosphere is awful.
