I went because I wanted to see the Spanish Library at Santo Domingo. But the library is closed for renovation so we did not get out of the cable car. People are super friendly and they chat with us in the cable car, it's kind of intimate environment for public transportation.

The Metrocable is a great way to see the city and to understand the pride that citizens of Medellin take in their world-class system.

The metrocable is a tram from a metro station to Arvi Park. The ride is worth the time, but plan to spend some time at the top in the Park.

One of the things we wanted to do was just ride the metro cable and we did just that after our walking tour. It's pretty cool and interesting to see how the local people commute daily, if you're the least bit afraid of heights don't do it, it's a slow moving cable car and if it's windy you feel everything.... A must do in Medellin, stunning views over the city, ability to explore less obvious/touristic routes. The cable cars are clean and well maintained also the area is safe, avoid evening rush hours 18-19 as the public transportation is very crowded. Totally cheap and worth it!

I had the privilege of visiting Medellin in Nov. - Dec. 2015 to visit the Christmas Lights Festival. We were there for 10 days with my in-laws. The reason for the visit was it was my in-laws 60th wedding anniversary and the the 60th anniversary of the Christmas light festival they have - it was amazing. Right from the time... More

This will be the best 5$ you've spent in Colombia, great views of the city, a visit to the ecological park, local food vendors. This is the number one attraction for a reason.
