About
The Metrocable is a gondola lift that links the city center with the surrounding hillside communities. More than just an efficient mode of transportation, it is also a convenient and affordable way to see Medellin, offering breathtaking views of the city and surrounding countryside. Your regular metro ticket covers the cost of the 30-minute ride, and you can take the trip multiple times as long as you do not exit the station. The hilltop residents make their daily commute on the Metrocable so it can get busy during peak hours. And take note of the timing of the last car from the top. – Tripadvisor

Loved the cable car rides in Medellin, we did the Comuna 13 cable car and the Miraflores. Great way to see the communities, take the tram to access the cable cars, also a great way to see the city. Very safe!

One of the best ways of getting around parts of the city, linking with the metro and buses. Cheap, clean and efficient. Worth riding for the views over the city alone.

We took the metrocable to Santo Domingo are. First it is a large gondola which seats 8 and then you transfer to a smaller car which seats 4. It is very picturesque with great views of the city.

It's kind of ridiculous that you can use this cable car to travel through the city and take in breathtaking sights for the price of a regular metro ride. As I already do everywhere else, I would be more than pleased to contribute a little extra to the local economy.

An absolute must! Really cool views of Comuna 13 and the city of Medellin. Ride to the top and back down again! That's what we did. Even when busy, the line moves quickly. Super cheap. Clean and safe. Took us maybe twenty minutes from start to finish. The metrocable stops at a few stations if you want to get off. This isn't just a tourist attraction, the metrocable is also used by locals to commute.

Awesome and inexpensive way to see the city! Be sure to do a little research on which cable car lines offer the best views, but I honestly think that no matter which line you choose, you will enjoy the ride. We took the metro and then the tram vis to line H and it was one of the best things to do. The Tran via is air conditioned and snakes through the city giving you a good feel for how big the city is. It was safe and fairly easy to do. Just remember not to get off the cable car or leave the station terminals unless you want to pay an additional ride.
