This site can be seen from the Penal near Guatape which is about the best thing that I can say about it. There is nothing natural or exceptional about it and I have no interest in going back. There are dozens of ecological sites and national parks that are worth visiting. This is not one of them.

If you are a views addict like me you must visit this place! The view is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen We did the stairs tour and claimed all the way to the top and it was worth every step Would highly recommend it!

The rock itself is really nice. Going up on stairs is fun and not that hard. Once in the top the views are nice. On the surroundings you have some restaurants and places to rent jet skies, boats, etc. Although do not expect the best quality on those services

We truly loved every minute of our day trip to Guatape! The views from the top of the Giant rock are just breathtaking! Now, I highly recommend at least spending one night there, as our drive there took almost 3 hours there, and 3 hours back. The travel companies and locals might tell you 1 to 1h30, but that's impossible! There's only one road in, and one road out. Its almost impossible to pass, as the road is very winding, and up and down. We got held behind a large truck going around 20 miles and hour, which cost us a lot. Now, once we reached Guatape, it was all worth it. The entrance to the Rock is roughly $5.50 (20,000COP), and they only accept cash. The hike takes roughly 20 minutes if you take your time, as the steps are steep and water runs through them. Once up there though, you quickly forget all about the ride and the hike, as the views are absolutely breathtaking!
