- Rob RTredegar, United Kingdom1,391 contributionsWorth a visit if only for the viewsWe had arrived in Medellin early and our hotel wasn’t ready till 3pm. Tired and hungry we decided to visit as it wasn’t to far from our hotel. Not too much walking involved and only a short taxi ride. It was a bit of a tourist trap although I have visited much worse. Fantastic views of the city from the top of the hill and some nice places to enjoy a leisurely lunch till our room was ready. If I didn’t have time to kill would have probably not have visited, a pleasant time spent there but definitely not high on your Medellin itinerary.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 January 2023
- Marco VLima, Peru6 contributionsLovely placeI visited Pueblito Paisa back in January 2023. I don't recommend the season because there's too much rain and you may risk the experience, even worse if you like to walk like we did as you'll receive a lot of rain on the 10 minute walk to the hill where this place is located. The entrance, if you go on feet, is not easily located but you can be sure it is safe. There's no cost to access the place and you'll find a nice store on the way to the top. Although the prices are about 50% higher that what you'd find on other place, it can help you with some snacks or water if you failed to buy any before your adventure. The place itself is a small neighborhood of beautiful old time houses. Most of them are businesses now that will offer micheladas, traditional snacks, ice cream or even some clothes and gifts to take home. You will also find multiple decorations and statues making reference to their history and legacy. The view of the city from there is incredible. There's also a food court where you can eat something more than a snack, like a Bandeja Paisa or Picada.Visited January 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 31 January 2023

This is basically a replica of a traditional Antioquia town. I loved the colours of the buildings, the views and and the atmosphere. Also, a great place to purchase quality handicrafts or souvenirs. There are a few eateries as well and street vendors. Just take an uber. Maybe a 10 minute ride if you are staying in El Poblado.Visited August 2023Travelled on businessWritten 24 August 2023

I spent a couple of hours on my own and wasn’t impressed. Wouldn’t say it’s a must, but you can check it out if you have the time and wanna buy souvenirsVisited October 2023Travelled soloWritten 13 October 2023

This little recreated village is nice for some pictures, souvenirs and city views but there really isn’t much here outside of what you see in the pictures. We were not there very long, and it does seem a little like a tourist trap (like some have mentioned) but if you’re looking for something relatively inexpensive and you’re in the are or have a little time to kill, this attraction might be just right for you.

Please do not walk in the park by yourself! There are a lot of open/secluded areas and I was robbed by an armed robber in the park (Not at the top tourist area).
At the top there are a bunch of food vendors, souvenir stores, live music and a museum. Nice little park to visit.

This place is a great reference to learn about how it was the city and it´s old architecture, good tips for historical info at the museum located there, very cheap entrance. Ours students love to go and practice reading Spanish besides the placid view it offers. There are few artistic sculptures with history in representation of the old aborigen from the valley

I have recently learned from someone who visited el Pueblito Paisa that they removed the "make believe:" school, the Parrish house, the hospital, the representations of the time and era of the "pueblitos" back then. The church is still there and the tienditas. Entrance here is free. Great view to Medellin. I love taking the stairs up and down, walking around the mountain reconnecting, ending my afternoon/night at the restaurant that is located on top with those amazing plats/flowers hanging, such a great service. This is one of my favorite things to do when I am in Medellin. Hope that helped.
¿cómo se llega al pueblito paisa desde La Floresta?

practicamente es un mirador, puedes comer y hacer compras de artesanías. parqueadero no hay, tocaría buscar uno público
