My mom, brother, and I came here for the weekend as my brother was attending a music festival at the Stone Pony. My mom and I planned to go to the beach and walk the boardwalk. It certainly did not disappoint! There are so many...More

Working in the area and decided to stop to check out the boardwalk. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

You would have thought we robbed a bank. Police office runs after us yelling that our dog (who was on a leash) was not allowed on the beach. We were the ONLY people on the beach. He could have nicely asked us to leave. NOPE....More

I love the boardwalk in Asbury Park. It's true that other boardwalks have more going on, but how many arcades and t-shirt shops do you really want? Asbury Park is pretty low key, much more interesting than most boardwalks. It's worth a trip just to...More

Asbury Park is definitely changing and improving, from the Boardwalk to the nice restaurants on Cookman Ave. While the Boardwalk area is still relatively small in terms of commerce, there are some shops and restaurants and a nice theater building with the requisite souvenirs and...More

The old buildings are cool, but as others have said, there really isn't much here. There are a few restaurants and shops. It's nice for a fun stroll, but if you're looking for a more traditional board walk, you're better off at point pleasant.

The Boards are back! I live local so I have enjoyed watching more and more business return to the Boards. Crowds are getting bigger and bigger. It's nice to see the family friendly atmosphere return.

What street would be the middle of the boardwalk? Are there parking lots for parking or do you find a metered spot?

There is lots of metered parking besides parking lots. I'm not sure of the name of the street that takes you to the boardwalk but when you come off of the GSP you just follow the signs for Asbury park. Very easy to get to.

Yes. Everywhere. During the summer every beach has both including asbury!
Is bringing food on the beach permitted at Asbury Park? Also are there trash bins or is it a "carry in carry out" your garbage policy?
