A small park but that makes it special because you can see the whole area in less than 2 hours, plus you can swim, kayak or dive to appreciate the wealth of marine life. The different colours of the water (due to the depth in different areas) adds to the charm and magic of this place, located next to the... More

Snorkelling was probably the #1 best thing we did in Providencia. It lies on the 3rd largest barrier reef in the world and given the remoteness you can often have it all to yourself. The colour of the water from above is stunning, under the water is like falling into an aquarium. Huge quantities of fish and coral. During our... More

We drove in saw no one. Walked around for a bit but saw nothing very interesting. Don't know if it was in the process of being build up or running down!

This is a place where you can find excellent places to do snorkeling, where you can spot al kinds of fishes, in really clear waters. Even if it rains, it's a great plan.

Well worth the small fee to help protect the park and the snorkeling. Very nice park and good snorkeling. Enjoyed the view from the top of the hill.

I visited this place because of a recommendation of the native people. The turquoise water are the most beautiful one that I have seen on my entire life. I Snorkel around the cay and I went to the top to watch the best 360º view of Providence and Santa Catalina. Also you can drink cocktails ($12.000) and you can rent... More

Turquoise waters, mangroves, small cays, what's not to like? Plus, the island has not suffered from mass tourism, so everything is really well preserved.

When we visited McBean Lagoon, our plan was to go snorkelling rather than see the site. We went on an excursion organised by the hotel which included going around Providencia and an hour's snorkelling at McBean Lagoon. When you arrive at the Lagoon you have to pay for entry - Colombian Nationals pay 8000 Colombian Pesos, whilst foreigners pay 13500.... More
