We went there to spent an afternoon hiking. It is a strong walk but worth it. We ended at the camping near the beach. Don't forget to bring a copy of your passport or you can not enter the parc.

Great National Park, we went in Easter holidays so it was very busy. Take a bus from Santa Marta it only costs 7000 COP. Go early morning, walk all the way to Cabo San Juan and then stop at the beaches on the way back. Take snacks with you, swimming gear and sun cream. We didn't stay overnight and we... More

A beautiful park but make sure to follow 3 tips to make the most out of your stay: 1. When you arrive at the park make sure to take the shuttle further into the main area (3.000$) to avid a long, boring walk. You need the energy for the trails. 2. bring lots of water as it can be really... More

Easy to get to from Santa Marta or Taganga. Rather pristine beaches and landscape. Weather always calls for 'thunder storms' but it was sunny everyday that we were there.

Once in a lifetime opportunity! Incredibly beautiful. Pristine. However you must take a tour instead of trying to do this on your own. Strictly limited access. If you are on a tour you pass thru the entrance, otherwise waits to get in could be 2-4 hours. Public transportation to the reserve is questionable. Rainforest will steep hills plunging into the... We have visited this national park on a 1 day trip. The hikes are quiet long, but the nature is amazing!

We went for a 4 day trip to the park. There are three entrances, the middle and eastern one are the more popular ones, the eastern being kinda like the main entrance. From this entrance you take a bus for 5-10 minutes deeper into the park. Then the little adventure starts: you "have to" walk through the beautiful nature of... More

It had been a while since i didnt visit tayrona, it was disappointing :( Too many people, endless lines for everything... 1 hour line for taking a shower!!! The landscape is beautiful but its hard to enjoy when there are too many people and the structure of the park is not ready yet.

I was very doubtful whether it's gonna be good, especially during semana santa. But I was positively surprised. The crowds were not overwhelming and all of the park with paths and beaches was clean. A few things I would like visitors to consider: - the horses looked really bad and they didn't have anything to eat as there is no... More

This is surely ann awesome location, but the Parque Nacional Natural administration fails to inform visitors that you risk being rejected at the entrance if you have not made an advance reservation. If you arrive will before 9am you may have a chance but entry is not guaranteed. It is a shame because many travel there from a far. There... More
