It is a volcano inside a lake, we made a short walk and then a motorboat ride with our guide Equator face travel. we agreed that his father was the native guide in the boat. Very good experience

I had been here a few years back and wanted to enjoy it again with my family. We stopped in early afternoon and had to wait a few minutes for the boat ride to be set up. The ride itself can be cold and choppy...More

Laguna Cuicocha is one of the most beautiful places in beautiful country. The lake is incredible, nestled between the mountains. I deeply regret skipping the boat tour. Absolutely take the time to visit here!

Its a high mountain crater lake. Trails were nicely kept. We came with a guide and driver who explained all of the markers and ceremonial sites to us. If we hadn't of had them , it would have been very confusing/anti-climatic as there is no...More

This is a great location for just a few minutes to hours if you like to hike. The views of the lake and country side are the best. Be sure to dress harmly and wear good hiking shoes if you plan to hit the ridge.

I'm not sure the best way to hike it since I took the boat, but you are hiking around the crater rim and arrive at the same spot so you would have similar elevation differences either way. As far as getting there I'm... More
