Coming from the Bahamas I was quite surprised with the contrast in touristic experience this island offered. There are a large number of marine iguanas and sea lions seen throughout the community. The food prices at restaurants were reasonable and the Hotels were limited but...More

We went to three islands, on a land tour (so the land tour, you really get to experience the lifestyle rather than hoping on and off a boat!). All three were fantastic, but for different reasons. We hiked to the volcanic crater, then cycled down....More

We stayed in Isabella Island for a week right before high season picked up. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it. You can take many excursions frokm this island. It is a nice affordable alternative to yachting around the Galapagos.

Isabela island is part of the itinerary of my 6-day cruise on board Encantada boat. The island is simply breath-taking and the diversity of wildlife is astounding. I hiked, snorkelled and went on panga (rubber boat) rides in Tintoreras, Elizabeth Bay, Punta Moreno and Punta...More

We were taken to Isabela Island by the nature guides from "the Letty ", a yacht operated by Ecoventura. We visited Elizabeth Bay where we saw sea lions sunning themselves on the roots of large Red Mangrove trees, lots of Galapagos Penguins and pelicans diving...More

This is the largest of the Galápagos Islands but it is not highly populated. The main town is still unspoiled with dirt track roads and lots of lovely little restaurants and bars. There are plenty of places for snorkelling and viewing the wildlife and the...More

We spent four nights on Isabela before a cruise in July 2017. We had pre-booked everything for peace of mind. We flew from Quito to Baltra, transferred to Puerto Ayora, then boarded the boat for Puerto Villamil. I`m used to ferries that carry cars, so...More
