You have to register your name from the entrance and it takes 20-30 minutes walk to reach the Tortuga bay from Puerto Ayura. It is a long white sand beach not meant for people but for animals. You find plenty of marine iguana here soaking...More

One of the best beaches I've ever visited. You can spend your time swimming, snorkeling, walking, enjoying nature.

Enter the park, check in at the top of the steps with your PP or VISA number, listen to the park ranger and set off on a walk. The path is well maintained and goes through a very large cactus tree landscape with plenty of...More

Definitely a long walk to explore this beach but it was worth it. Nice photo shoot, managed to see a few sharks, iguans. Quiet area to relax. I could see however if this place had many visitors finding sufficient shade would be a challenge. Need...More

charming pacific coast, but be aware of the sun... tons of sunblock must be used and the proper hydration... still too much fun beyond description. This spot is among my top places on the planet.

This beach is not only very beautiful with white sand and turquoise water, but also it's very pristine and untouched.....there are also marine iguanas, birds etc... that get very close to you - you feel so close to the nature!

There is a very pleasant 1.5 mile walk to the beach if you leave early in the morning before it gets hot. You'll first be met by water iguana, then crabs, seagulls and pelicans. Not for swimmers, though. Current is strong.
