It is worthwhile getting a guide for this walk as they are from the local village and are very helpful. It is approx 5 km to the waterfalls but well worth the walk as the swim at the end is so refreshing. Then after the 5km walk back you can swim at the beautiful palm fringed deserted beach. Awesome !!

A beautiful walk along the coast and into the rain forest to a magnificent waterfall. The guide was very knowledgeable about the plants and birds we saw along the way.

Hiked along the coast back to a slot canyon waterfall. Had Simone as our guide. He did a wonderful job telling us about the flora and fauna of the area and swam with us back up into the pool at the waterfall. There is not much elevation on the hike, but you do cross a river and the swim to... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip to taveuni Island. We had a wonderful walk and swim up to 2 waterfalls. The views were special and it felt like we were walking a deserted undiscovered island. We took the boat back which was really worthwhile

It's a relatively flat and easy walk and while it can be done in flip-flops, I recommend sturdier river-type shoes. You do have to cross some shallow streams.

Take a tour or arrange your own trip. We chose to go to Lavena Coastal Walk and not Tavaro waterfalls and were very happy with our choice. We caught a bus to village at start of Lavena Coastal Walk and asked how to arrange for a guide. We were directed to a woman's home who organises the guides. Wonderful walk... More

We hiked up to the waterfall, it was about a 1 1/2 hour hike. It was a beautifuol walk and the trail is well maintained.Swam under the waterfall. It was so pristine and remote, I feel like it was a taste of the real Fiji

This is a fairly easy hike though fording the river (the bridge is out) may be challenging for some depending on the water level/ tides. The hike passes along the beautiful coast line and ends at an impressive waterfall.
