Did a day trip to Ross Island as light and sound show was not happening at the time I visited. Lot of deer and peacock can be seen along with the ruins of administrative building of British time. You can also see the Light House.

Although I couldn't spend much time here, I loved my visit to Port Blair. My short stay was worth it as I got the best recommendations. I owe my experience to Gopal bhaiya who runs his own small travel agency (Sadai Tours and Travels). He knows everything about the islands: where you should visit, what's a good place to eat at, where to stay, and how best to fill your day! His enthusiasm kept me on my feet. If you're looking for a good, eventful, budget-friendly trip with the best informal guide, Gopal bhaiya is the man. He also helps you book your ferry tickets, stay, visitors tickets, two-wheeler renting, etc. Just leave your trip in his hands and you won't have a thing to worry about. He's polite, happy, hard-working, and very very helpful. Best travel agent ever for a custom-made trip. Call him as soon as you land in PB, and he's there to take care of you. Call him on +91 9531918600 or +91 9933202151.

Ross Island is a small island with an interesting history. Spend my time here for one and half hour. Although the island is small but it has a lot a lot to offer to tourists and travellers. In the end, one and half hour is not enough to explore the area. The ruins bungalows, church, quarters, etc. tells you a story of the past which we often forget to appreciate. My time in Andaman was worth every penny I spend and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Part of it was made possible by my autorishaw driver cum guide, Gopal, who helped me throughout my journey. His hospitality is beyond exceptional. I got his contact no. here in tripadviser. Thanks to that. I didn't have to worry much even before I land in Andaman. Gopal can be contacted at 9531918600. Happy Holidays!

Ross Island was a part of our double island tour of Ross and North Bay. The dilapidating structure tells the story of the British Rule during those times. There are electic carts to give the tours. One can also opt for guide. Be ready to see deers and peacocks from a hand's length. Though the rain dampened our visit but, overall it was good. We didn't have any proper idea on booking the tickets for the tour. Our auto-rickshaw driver, Mr. Sadai Gopal on hearing this helped us out on the complete trip planning. He ensured the tickets, picked us up from the hotel and introduced us to the tour guys. He also helped us book Batarang trip (though it didn't finalize due to our other plans). Rarely do you find people in tourist place who go to such lengths to ensure that you leave with good memories. If you are in Port Blair, don't hesitate to give Mr. Gopal a call (9531918600/ 9933202151). He is one man army to hook you up with Hotels, tour packages, vehicles for hire and others.
