History Buffs Trails to Ross Island (3 Hours Guided Walking Tour)

1 review
Explore the historical trails of a city and experience secrets in its kitty in the beautiful Ross Island. Enjoy the company of tall trees and beautiful landscapes with this walk.

1. We will explore the history buffs destination which was a settlement for the colonials during British Rule and scorch through the ruins, power house, printing press building that was covered in the roots of Peepal trees and many more sights with very interesting stories during this walking experience.
2. We follow a unique style of ‘infotainment’ to ensure that you enjoy the tour and don't get bored, irrespective of whether you love history or not.

Although the trip is a bit longish due to the slow boat which takes you to the island however, the glass bottom ride is just awesome. Do not hesitate to spend the 1000 Rs for the full 1 hour view, it is worth it. For the information of everyone- they give a 10 mins complimentary glass bottom ride on this trip (they say its 15 mins but its actually just a teaser). they then have options- 300Rs for additional 15 mins, 600 Rs for half hour and 1000 Rs for full 1 hour covering 15 different types of marine life. A must go activity I must say the view is very clear.

Visited the place in the last week of Dec, 2020. Crystal clear water and the best underwater sighting from glass bottom boat. It is very difficult to book the jolly bouy trip as you have to book the ticket in person. Gopal took care of the booking procedure completely and delivered the tickets to our hotel the day before the trip. Gopal knows Andamans inside out. Unlike other agents who try to loot you, he is totally honest and goes the extra mile to make your trip comfortable. He submitted application for the govt ferry, booked tickets for jolly bouy island trip, helped me with 2 wheeler hire and all the other little things that really made our trip comfortable. Please contact Gopal (9531918600/9933202151). For any guidance in andaman like permits, ferry booking, transportation, etc.

Jolly Buoy island is the best Snorkelling site closest to Port Blair. We could enjoy the Corals & Marine life just through Glass Bottom Boats as officially Snorkelling activities were banned by the auth from Jan'2020 onwards. As this was part of conservation of marine life, we too supported the initiatve & did not avail services of unauthorized guys. But remember to get permit a day before from Dir of Tourism office near Post Office in the city. This is planned for the 1st half of the day & then, afternoon to Sunset, Wandoor Beach can be visited. In case of public transport transfers, the last bus to Port Blair departs around 6 pm.
