The place was Okay! You don't find much to explore. Restaurant serves good food. And is famous for shooting the movie " BAHUBALI" here. Belum caves nearby are much better.

I wanted to explore Orvakal/ Oravakallu rock garden enroute Gandikota from Hyderabad, so instead of taking NH44(Hyd Blr highway) we took NH40 from Kurnool. Traffic was bit heavy with narrow roads within city but once we headed in NH40 the roads were smooth and less traffic. The area was sparsely populated with almost no shops and hotels. About 20 kms... we have no plans to visit, since we were going by to Belum caves on the way and stopped here, and it was definitely worth the visit Stay: though there is no forests or activities, if you are bored of City life and waned to be away from civilistaion momentarily then you can hire a guest house here and stay... - This is a nice place to visit, especially if it also falls on the way. - The place is enjoyable when visited in the evenings. Since Kurnool area is hotter, visiting anyother time might not offer a good experience. - The place is on the right side of NH40 when moving away from Kurnool. - Good place for photography... More

We stayed at Oravakallu for one night in Sep. The natural rock formations were amazing. Days there are too hot and there are no lights in the gardens after 7pm so try staying overnight if you can to savour the beauty early morning. Get a room on the 1st floor because thats where the garden is. We had a room... More

I was searching for a place to visit for a day or two where I could go on my Bike. I found this place on aptdc.in site where Haritha Resorts are available. About this place the view is good at evening time. The rooms were good in comparison to other Haritha resorts where i had visited. Had booked an AC... More

There are three parts to the review... The Rock Garden: From atop you can see just rocks and more rocks in natural formation all around you. This is a unique place. Telangana and Andhra are largely semi-arid, geographically, but this is like a spot like non other here. What to do here: Don a cap, good shoes, carry a water... More

We have been here before, so this is an update. The place is still naturally pristine. Yet the Haritha Cafeteria has deteriorated. The washrooms are in bad shape, the food quality is also down and very salty. Service is laggard. We were looking forward to a nice piping breakfast break enroute to Ahobilam via Nandyal when we halted here, hoping... More

We stopped en route to Belum caves from Kurnool. I wish we had stayed here overnight in the Haritha lodge. While the whole area has these natural rock formations that are visible as you drive, this particular stretch that is called a garden is sort of the front yard of the haritha. We parked our car, and its a short... More
