Hyderabad highlight

This monument symbolizes Hyderabad. No way you can miss even if you wish to. Do not miss the bangle bazaar next to it. Bargain as much as you can.

Warning- this place is not for the "posh" tourist who can't handle crowd and traffic etc. The heart of the old city, Charminar is not a tourist spot. But it's a place that can only be appreciated when one has the patience to explore and enjoy the experience. There is so much to discover, jewellery, clothing, pearls, stones, local cuisine,... If you want to experience being in an outdoor market, with hundreds of choices of clothes, shoes, accessories, definitely have to go. I had some masala chai tea and enjoyed the Charminar monument :)

The masterpiece still hasn't lost its charm after all these years. It is not only the symbol of Hyderabad, but also of India. At the moment there is a lot of restoration work going on, but it still retains its charm. If you want to make your visit to Hyderabad really count you can't miss a visit to this time... More

The 2nd floor, home to Hyderabad’s oldest mosque, and the upper columns, are not open to the public. The structure is illuminated from 7pm to 9pm --... More
