Nice Fort - not amazing, but given the lack of non-booze things to do in Daman, you might as well give this a visit. Good sunsets, overlooking a jetty and the other side of Daman. Easy to walk to as long as you follow Google Maps.

By converting all the old buildings of the erstwhile Portugese colonial masters into Government establishment, the administration has ensured at least one thing- the maintenance and the upkeep of these heritage buildings.

The fort was along the sea and offered some decent views and some quick photographs against the walls of the fort. The place was very peaceful and very well lit during the evenings which made it good good.

The Fort of St. Jerome is situated on the bank of River Daman Ganga in Nani Daman. In one corner of the turning of road there is a small garden. On one side of the road is St. Jerome Fort and on the other side Daman Jetty is located. One can visit all the three places. From above the Fort,... More

The fort actually houses the government offices now. Apart from that, the places of interest inside the fort are the churches, the governor's house, the observation tower and the light house. The fort is perhaps the best thing to see in Daman. It will not take more than an hour to finish the tour. Don't skip it.

Nice View, Calm and Quiet, has a cemetry near the entrance. It also has a little creepy feeling when you enter. Like entering the ruins of some old british place.
