The fort is the center attraction of Diu. This fort is the best place to visit when in diu !!! The history behind this fort is worth knowing. It is such a huge fort that it would take atleast 2.5 hours to see the whole place.

Unlike most other forts it's the unique seaside location of this fort that brings in a different enchantment as one walks up the short road to enter the fort.A strategically placed cannon of long past directed towards the sea tells one of how invaders were kept at bay.Really worth a visit.

The fort is the main attraction of Diu. It is built almost 600 years ago. Study a bit of history to understand the importance of Diu. It is worth exploring

This is 450 years old Fort, carries a rich history of India especially for this part which was ruled by Portuguese. The administration may charge an entry fee and maintain it better.

The fort is surrounded by sea on three sides which makes the visit interesting! There is also an functional jail inside the fort which is prohibited area. Bring some water with you as you wont get any water inside the fort (except a water cooler near the entrance).

Diu fort is probably the most frequently visited by travelers. You will find lots of visitors here. It is built on the seacoast and gives you a good view of "Pani Kotha". There is a light house inside the fort. It is well maintained and you get to see a lot of good views from here. If you have time... More
