Good place visit. It is the biggest mountain of gujarat. Total 10000 stairs. It will challenge your strength and fitness. Best time to start climbing is before sunrise. So that you can view sunrise on top or while climbing.

It is difficult but possible. You and other members of your group have to be physically fit. Start early in the morning like 0230 - 0300. If the sun is out it will be very difficult and be prepared to walk 8 to 10 hours... More

Yes Somnath is close to Amreli district. can be drive-able. No need to carry snacks / water. Its available at temple premises. :) Enjoy your trip. It's beautiful weather
