you can just dirve by because not open for public.i heard if you have a permit then worth to see in side over all cant say anything.

Pratap vilas palace is too old place. Very good architecture. This place is for Royal families which made by King.

Pratab palace is a known as a palace of king (jamsheb) the royal familes homes. Presently no one can visit without permision. There is a forest around the palace. A fantastic looking building not open to tourist. You need special permission to walk the grounds and see the structure from outside. Worth a visit

We were told that there is no entry for public into the palace. Took some pictures from road near the main gate. The building is pretty impressive though.

This palace need lots of time to see and appreciate the collection, architecture of each rooms. Ventilation designed has pleased me. I hope they allow the out siders to stay for a day.

The building is beautiful on the outside. I took a picture from the gate. I was told that the palace is closed because, "the king is home". What about the tourist's needs? The king ought to work something out. I gave the palace a two because even not being able to get in it is actually better than the Lakhota... More
