This lake was surreal. The villagers were hospitable even though living conditions were harsher than pangong. The lake was half frozen and perfect reflections could be caught in other half

This lake is far away from Leh city. But on the lakeside is very beautiful and different from Pangong lake. Too moriri have grass field near the lake and many of animals live near by the lake. But this lake maybe more cold than Pangong and the residence are not good and less than pangong lake. So if you coming... More

Tso Morriri is a little more difficult to get to then Pangong Tso, but it's worth it. We went as part of a 3 day taxi journey from Leh to Manali. Stayed over night in the Goose Homestay which was fine for us and even had an en suite room. Basic place but functional and just how the locals live.... More

Truly awesome and spectacular scenery. Truly awful and avoidable infrastructure with a near complete lack of hotels, electricity or medical facilities (critical at that altitude).

The golden mountains were casting gold shadow in water. Then shades of blue, then gold, and mixed colors. The white clouds were shadowing the lake. And then mountains, water and fields colors were fantastic. Korzak is the town and found a place to stay named Goose Homestay. It was not very good but OK for 1 night. Then around 6pm,... More

We visited Tso Moriri after going to Pangong Tso, and were skeptical if its worth the effort. And we were delighted that we took the effort. The drive to Tso Moriri is in stark contrast to the drive to Pangong Tso. There are vast plateaus all along the way, making it less treacherous. The lake side is a riot of... More

Quite a distance from Leh (nearly 230 kms), Tsomoriri Lake is a truly wild uninhabited place having a prestine lake with Wild Horses grazing near the lake shores amidst the small small oasis in the cold dersert. Once again a must visit place in Ladakh
