Quite and calm religious place of Budhhists. One can see the monks doing their religious rituals and one can enjoy the serene beauty of place. While going to Kargil from Leh one can visit it.

This is a temple you can't miss, the old buddha images and painting on the wall and under stupa. I can feel serenity in the monastery. Please visit with high respect.

while going towards Alchi Monastery..there are couple of Restaurants in which we enjoyed food and there was apple trees surrounded so ate fresh apples as well...in Monastery there are huge statues of Buddha... must visit this place.

Well worth a visit. this monastery has some very coloufull parts (allthough you aren't allowed to take pics inside...) buy the book, I think its worth the rupees! Don't forget to look upwards alot or else you mis some beautifull stuff!
