The market surprisingly is very clean and organized. There are food stalls on either side of the road. I go here to buy authentic kannada style sweets.

Basvangudi gives you the true feeling of Bangalore of old times , the market and several houses being more than 100 year old . The bakeries, the textile shops, home made snack shops and the temples.. makes it a very homely earthy experience to enjoy

The flower market, fruits, the restaurant - Vidyarthi Bhavan all a perfect mix of local culture. Would highly recommend for someone who likes to soak into old Bangalore way of life.

The markets, people, old buildings, temples at every corner, cows lazily strolling by, plenty of greasy street food, school kids patrolling the evening streets either on or off their way from classes [ being the educational hub it is].

30 mins is more than sufficient to cover both the temples. They are literally next to each other.
