This is a beautiful and a famous temple closer to the airport but away from the City. Generally thronged by locals and tourists alike we were lucky to find it relatively empty in the evening.

When you visit Mangalore or Udupi, make it a point to visit the Durgeshwari Temple in Kateel close to Mulki. The unique feature of this temple is the temple is uniquely located and the river Nandini flows in between.

I din't find any nice family accommodation there. I would suggest, you stay in Mangalore or Udupi and visit the place in a taxi and come back or you can visit some other places on the way too.
