Excellent view of the valley from the top. Has parking space. Good points for photography. Good time to visit is early morning or evening. You can get a view of the tableland and other peak areas of panchgani on one side and view of waterbody and villages on other side. Perfect picnic spot.

The moving wooden bridge is a bit of fun but other than that just views. Nothing fun as such. At least it's completely free.

Located just 2 km away from Panchagani Bus stand. We travelled from Pune started at 05:30 in the morning had breakfast on the way and finally reached to this place in the morning @ 09:30. This is the first place which we visited during our Mahabaleshwar trip. So amazing place and luckily we reached there in the morning which is perfect time to visit this place. Actually Sunrise time is perfect to visit this place, but we started from Pune in the morning so couldn't possible to us to reach for Sun rise. It is also perfect destination for Sunset and there is a serene place give an alluring view of the Sunset. If possible try to reach this place during Sunrise or Sunset.

Sydney Point is named after Sir Sidney Beckwarth, who was commander in Chief and senior member of the Council and worked as the Governor of Bombay.

This is a scenic location to get amazing views of the Krishna valley and surrounding water bodies. This is eminent for offering lovely views. This place also give the view of Krishna River flowing at the bottom, the picturesque view of the Dhom Lake.

There is sufficient parking area to park your two wheeler / Four wheeler. After parking the vehicle one can reach the top point by walking on side road or by climbing around 50+ steps. Standing on this edge visitors can witness the Panchagani tabletop and the Krishna River flowing below, which is very unique experience.

Sydney point is recently renowned for offering beautiful views of the Krishna Valley, Kamal gad Fort, Dhom Dam and the city of Wai. Although there are many tempting attractions across Panchgani, the search for the best view would lead you to the Sydney point. I personally liked this place so much.

This was near our hotel so we went walking in the morning. It was relaxing.

There are some dogs in the area so would recommend to go by car to the top or keep a stick just in case.

View from the road and the top was beautiful.

Good views to take in the beauty of Panchgani! Lots of points in the area (the viewing area when you drive up, stairs to the upper reaches, wooden bridge, viewing points aplenty thereon etc).

One of the beautiful sights to visit. The trip to Panchgani is incomplete without this place. Early morning sunrise would be the ideal but any time is never a waste.

Sydney point is situated at a height due to which from here other spots like Table Land and other view points are clearly visible. The flowing river and the hillocks surrounding it look awesome. Terraced farms can also be seen from here. Try to relax here being in the lap of Mother Nature. Spectacular views refreshes the mind.

We had come to Panchgani and visited this spot.o
It has improved a lot with new construction on top to view the valley with new toilet facilities and solar power .
Only thing is road leading to the point is too narrow.
Nice view of the valley and backwaters of Dhom DAM.
Must visit when you visit panchgani.
