As soon as we arrived here, the local lads were buzzing round trying to sell us maps, offer their services as a tour guide and relieve you of your home currency. There seemed to be a bit of a turf war but all in good humour.

Overall this is a nice place to see and actually this is a Cremation ground of the royal family of Jaisalmer. This is a very nice place for photographers to capture pics... More

Very unique place particularly in the parlance of Hindu customs and traditions.... Found the concept of cenotaphs very interesting. The story behind the place is also quite unique... Do pay a visit if you are in Jaisalmer.

Come here when the sun sets. An hour will be good enough to enjoy the sunset after looking around. 20 minutes drive by Tuk Tuk from fort area where we stayed. You will need to book the Tuk Tuk for return as well because it's rural. A small fee of 150rp for guide.

Interesting sight, but made far more so by an informed local guide, to understand the history and background.
